Reminders:Please bring your copies of the play to every class: (another copy below). If you are absent, you are responsible for the work.  Our last grade for this marking quarter WAS YESTERDAY. The class writing today will go into marking quarter 4.  You have until Friday at the close of the day to make up any late work.  The class work for Wednesday, Thursday and Friday will go into the 4th quarter marking period.

Missed a quiz? You may come in anytime. Just let us know which period works for you.

In class: You should have read up to page 365. The reading that you were responsible for should be a part of your answer for the quick write; you need to reference this material specifically. The quick write is written below.

Directions: collect your notebooks. If you do not have one, please take out a lined sheet of paper and write an MLA heading.
You were to have read through page 365 for today.

Writing Reminders: Please proof read! Make sure there are no fragments in your writing. Remember affect is a verb and effect is a noun.

Respond to the following prompt: Make sure your response is grammatically correct and follows language conventions.  This will be collected in 10 minutes.Copy the quote posted below:

"There is nothing more frightful than ignorance in action"- Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

Now in five sentences
apply this quote to what we have read so far. Think about the conversation between Olunde and Jane. How does ignorance affect the play and more specifically in certain characters? What do you think would happen if the Pilkings acted differently?

When you have finished, turn your notebook into Ms. Parker for grading.

We will continue the play in class after you hand in the quick write.

For homework for Friday: read through page 382, scene 5, the end of the play.  If you are absent on Friday, make sure you have completed the play for our summative assessment on Monday, April 22.
