Pictured above is Wole Soyinka, Chinua Achebe, and J.P. Clark. All of these men are famous Nigerian Writers. J.P. Clark and Wole Soyinka are famous playwrights. Chinua Achebe is a world famous author. His novel, Things Fall Apart was a huge success and one of the most popular books in African Literature.

Our last grade for this marking quarter will be the in-class writing on Tuesday. You have until Friday at the close of the day to make up any late work. The class work for Wednesday, Thursday and Friday will go into the 4th quarter marking period.

apply this quote to what you have read over the weekend. How do the characters in scene 2 relate to this quote? Think about how the Pilkings respond to Nigerian culture. If you were able to talk to Jane and Simon Pilkings, what would you say?
When you have finished, turn your notebook into Ms. Parker for grading.
